Global EVP Experiment ...
Dear IGT members,
The Indiana Ghost Trackers will be participating in the below experiment. I welcome all chapters to get involved with this. This is not required but I think its great to be involved in a global experiment like this.
Please collect your EVPs through your chapter. I think it would make more sense to submit what we collect by chapter or by region of the Indiana Ghost Trackers since there are so many members. Please work this out with your regional and chapter directors. Please use clear EVP which are at least class B in nature. If you aren't sure about how good your EVP is, your chapter or regional director can help decide on the best to submit.
Chapter or regional directors should copy the corporate board with your submissions.
Best Wishes & have a great 2010!
Mike McDowell President/CEO Indiana Ghost Trackers, INC.
Hello My name is Rick Oestmann and I am conducting an EVP experiment. I am soliciting participation from groups around the globe and would like to know if you or your team would like to participate. The experiment web page is http://www.webelieveyou.net (webelieveyou.net). If you would like to participate please let me know. Also if you would like to have your groups link posted on the EGS Web Page please let me know. If you are not interested but know of someone who would like to participate please forward this email. EXPERIMENT: In brief the EVP global survey (EGS) is an experiment in which a set of standard generalized YES or NO questions are used during the participants EVP sessions. If you ever played the game 20 question then you understand what this experiment is trying to do. With enough responses collected, we may be able to piece together a representation of the environment and existence factors of the EVP respondent. I am looking for as much participation as possible. To participate simply use the generalized questions during your EVP sessions. Please note there are 20 questions in all. It is entirely up to you and your group which and how many questions you use. I only ask that you do not modify the questions. The more questions you ask, the better the chance of a response. As responses are tallied the questions may change to home in on key subjects or areas. EGS QUESTIONS: Can you see me? Are there others with you? Have you lived before? Do you die? Does time pass for you? Do you require food? Can you reproduce? Do you have a biological body? Do you have free will? Do you require transportation? Are you under the influence or control of others? Do you worship a higher power? Is it easy to answer questions? Is speech the only way we can communicate with you? Are you in another plain of existence other than mine? Is there a reason you are here? Will we become what you are after we die? Do you know what we are thinking? Are you able to show yourself to us? Do you mean us harm? MY BIO: Paranormal researcher, UFOlogist and CRYPTOzoologist Rick Oestmann hails from the small town of Corpus Christi, Texas, born 1958. Awards Banquet Wrap up by the Prez ...
Dear IGT members,
Hello to everyone! I want to take this opportunity to commend Pat Shuck, Stephanie Jeffries and the whole Kokomo chapter for one heck of an awesome Banquet for our 8th annual IGT awards banquet. Kokomo did an awesome job! They did a great job with the decorations, food, prizes, music, skits and so much more. If you missed this event, all I can say is that you really missed a great time and I hope you can make it next year. It was very very nice, ran smooth and was a blast!
I want to thank everyone who came out and was a part of this. I enjoyed seeing so many members of the IGT family, talking, hanging out and partying of course too! I hope that everyone had a great time. Please send me your ideas for next year!
The winner of the best skit was Bloomington who won some very nice ghost hunting equipment! Their skit will hopefully be up soon on the IGT website, forum boards and on Youtube very soon! They sang it in person for us too but it was a musical sort of video that they changed the words to. It was very funny and well put together. Kokomo chapter and LaPorte also did really nice jobs on their skits too. LaPorte did the classic SNL “More cow bell” skit and Kokomo did a musical dance number that was very funny and a lot of fun to watch with a montage of different songs including a Michael Jackson “Thriller” dance number.
We had our usual pictures of IGT events on the wall too. T-shirts and other IGT items were for sale. Troy started the usual name tag removal and placement on other people. It was funny how many people ran up to tell me that they were now me or Renee! Everyone took lots of pictures and I hope everyone gets these posted somewhere online too sometime soon. Mine will be post to Facebook by tonight. The music was thrown in last minute and this was the first year we’ve done musical accompany to the awards. So if you’ve got ideas for better music for next year, feel free to throw the ideas my way. Some of the music was a fun match up and some were just good songs that many people enjoy hearing. I had a lot of fun coming up with ideas. Everyone seemed to enjoy this feature so we plan to continue this for next year as well.
The awards banquet will take place again next year. Next year will be our special 10th anniversary event too! Very spooktacular! Just as a reminder, chapters hoping to host the awards banquet can begin submitting bids now. Bids will be accepted up until March 31st, 2010 and a decision will then be made concerning bids that have been submitted. If no bids are in by this date, the first bid made after this date, that is acceptable to the IGT Corporate board, will be accepted.
Thanks again to everyone who made the 2009 awards banquet such a memorable and fun event!
Sincerely,
Mike McDowell President/CEO Indiana Ghost Trackers, INC

New officer roles for the Indiana Ghost Trackers! ...
As announced this year at the annual IGT awards banquet, we have some new officers coming on board and some changing places as well.
The State IGT officers coming on board are Shannon Simpson for the IGT PR person and Heather Stenger for the IGT treasurer position for the state. Thanks of course to Theresa for all her help with everything getting some of the records straightened out.
Please give Heather and Shannon a warm and hearty welcome to their new positons. I know that you will be hearing a lot from them in the coming months. It will be an exciting change for us!
Coming into Shannon's Regional spot is Lisa Bradley of Bloomington. She will oversee South Central region. Please give her a hearty welcome as well in her new role!
We are in the mix of role change overs this month and expect new officers to fully be functioning by the new year.
Sincerely,
Mike McDowell President/CEO Indiana Ghost Trackers, INC [Submitted by chaos]
