Rumely Historic Apts/Formerly Rumely Hotel-Laporte

Not sure if it's ever been looked into or not, but I worked at an elderly apt. community in Laporte called Rumely Historic Apts.  It used to be the Rumely Hotel during times of prohibition. There was a speakeasy in the basement. The hotel was rennovated & now are indiviual apts instead of hotel rooms. The basement however, was completely untouched. I've been down in it...ONCE. Lots of confusing tunnels & rooms that gave you that dark feeling just walking past. One room in particular just gave you the creeps was what was a "meat locker" that had a door that was made out of bars, like jail cell type doors. Not sure what the purpose of that was. There were also other sets of jail type bar doors throughout the tunnels. I was pretty young when I worked there & would LOVE a chance to get back down there. Not sure if it's under the same management it was when I worked there. I've tried to find anything about investigations done there online w/ no luck.
