The Daniel Boone Graveyard

These pictures were taken this past summer while I was vacationing in Missouri. I  was visiting the grave of Daniel Boone in a little out of the way town called Defiance. The graveyard is in the middle of nowhere in a rundown cemetary.

We  decided  to take a picture of some other grave stones in the cemetary. My wife and I had just brushed off the stones and didn't notice anything strange.  There was a wooded fence surrounding these graves.

On top of one post you may see a  white ball. I have no explaination for what this is. Could it be a remnant of one of these long dead souls?  Theses graves date back to early 1800's.
