The Haunted Barn

August 12, 2000

Our own Lucretia of the Indiana Ghost Trackers had us out to investigate her haunted barn.
History behind this location testifies to the fact that an elderly woman perished in a log cabin fire along with her mule about 150 years ago. Her barn has been exorcized more then once as well. Psychics claim that her barn stands upon a portal. A "Portal" is a sort of doorway that allows otherworldly things to pass through.  It's claimed by them that the ghost of the woman and another creature had inhabited this place until a few years ago. What is this other creature you may ask? The psychics claim it was what we as humans would consider a demon or evil spirit. The psychics who made this claim were also the ones who did the exorcism. They claim the barn is now spirit free but as you can see for yourself below, there is something more here. The psychics explained that something called "elementals" inhabit the property now. These elementals are pranksters but in this case considered mostly harmless. Whatever is here is truly strange has captured the interest of many members of our group as well as other reputable ghost investigators.

Carl got some strange video footage and although I didn't have any luck myself, my camera did malfunction (until I left). I know that isn't proof in itself but these sorts of things happen very often at this old barn. Who knows why? Bill and Patricia also had some problems with their equipment (a very reliable camera set up).

A view of the barn just before dusk on the day of our Ghost hunt.

Just a stable in the barn, no ghosts here.

Here is where my camera started to go. I was taking pictures of the most active area in the barn.... the HAYLOFT.
I did the right thing and asked the ghosts for permission to take their picture. I guess they said no.

This was the LAST picture the night of the ghost hunt that I was able to take at Lucretia's. The camera kept "snapping" pictures after this but the film stopped advancing. I thought it was still working though because the indicator on top showed normal advancement. Many people experience problems with their equipment here. My camera started working as soon as I left. Go figure. I went to Gypsies Cemetary and it started to work right away. My camera showed over 36 pictures had been taken on a 24 exposure roll when I checked it at Gypsies. I rewound it right away. I only got back a total of 18 pictures.

A few days before the Ghost Hunt I took some preliminary pictures. My camera batteries went dead right away. They were new. I changed them and got these shots.

The hayloft. Nothing here but damn it was creepy up here.

Check this out. These brown lines appear in some of Lucretia's Pictures.

This is an enlargement. As you can see ... this is not a branch.

A possible orb off to my left and an enlargement.

Small Brown Line here again. It is very faint. Below is the blowup of it. Again I don't think this is part of a tree. The trees were full of leaves this time of year. With all the manure Lucretia's trees get, they were very healthy !

These pictures were sent by Lucretia to me. They were taken right outside the barn. These are not water droplets.

There are a lot of orbs in this picture as well but not as easy to see.
